synopsis

My new book redefines how we think about marketing. Many focus on the promotional aspects of marketing, but I argue the field is much broader. The reason any company is in business is because it’s offering something of value. To create something of value we have to understand customer needs and deliver something that solves a problem. To do that well, we have to serve others, not ourselves. And serving others encompasses everything we do.

We all have it in our power to contribute positively as businesses and as individuals. I’ve tried to simplify the steps to make those contributions possible. While I provide practical tools, success also requires a mindset shift. We should be optimistic, devoted and determined!
